An important aspect of the job is ensuring that the work, testing and assembly areas are free of hazards, and undertaking all tasks within company and regulatory safety procedures and guidelines. The role will involve driving the forklift to move stock, load and unload trucks for machine assembly operations and general warehouse operations. The warehouse duties and responsibilities include setting up and maintaining the Filling Machines, supervision of warehouse staff when the Warehouse Factory Supervisor is absent and participating in the full range of warehouse activities when required. These generally include filling and labelling of containers, packing of DIY kits and shipping boxes, preparing outgoing orders, strapping of pallets, receiving components from suppliers, labelling materials, and stock monitoring and stocktaking. General duties and responsibilities include planning and organising a daily work routine, keeping work areas neat and tidy, follow the company™s Quality Assurance procedures and Continuous Improvement Programs. All activities need to comply with the company™s procedures and be undertaken with ethical and professional standards. Ability to accurately follow written and spoken instructions required for machine assembly, disassembly, packing and dispatch, filling machine maintenance and operation, and accurately following written procedures for tasks including DIY kit packing, stock control and packingdispatch. Ability to keep stock organised, accurately counted and at the required levels. Demonstrated ability to organise a work routine, work without supervision, and to work within the company™s guidelines, procedures and regulations. Demonstrated ability to use basic computer software, such as Microsoft Word. This is a casual position but may lead to a full time job for the right person.
