The Opportunity:

  • In this busy hands on role, you will provide BCA advice to a range of clients, adapting your communication style as necessary to build strong professional relationships.
  • You will focus on the timely completion of Construction Certificates, Complying Development Certificates, Occupation Certificates, Crown Works Certificates and BCA due diligence reports.
  • BPB accreditation is desired but not essential.

Role:
This is a highly technical role focused on continuous improvement, in which the successful candidate would significantly contribute to the implementation of a long-term maintenance strategy plan for a leading capital equipment production site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and design of new equipment installations of High Voltage electrical equipment across the site
  • Lead and coach a team of 10 skilled electricians on maintenance and repair of the site's varied electrical equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency.
  • As part of the management team, drive a culture of continuous improvement, and ultimately play a key role in the modernization of the site
  • Drive re-development and improvement of systems and processes currently used by the electrical maintenance team (continuous improvement)
You:
  • Highly energetic and passionate people leader with previous experience successfully driving change and accountability
  • Are a licensed electrician with a contractors & supervisors license
  • Experienced with PLC programming & troubleshooting
  • Knowledgeable about electric induction furnaces

About the Role:

The Supervisor ensures the efficient management and allocation of warehouse staff, resources and equipment to achieve the best possible customer outcome in terms of storage, picking and packing of goods.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the chiller and finished goods freezer operations to ensure that all staff members comply with company rules, safety, HACCP, AQIS and Safe Food procedures and processes
  • Monitor stock and capacity levels within the chiller to ensure we are achieving maximum efficiency and document adjustments as required
  • Identify all data issues within the WMS that effect the pick operation and forward to the Operations Manager
  • Conduct a dock and chiller floor walk at the start and end of each shift
  • Completion of End of Shift reports and other daily reports
  • Maintain the warehouse in a clean and tidy condition and report and breakdowns or damage
  • Facilitate Toolbox talks and mentor Supervisors to facilitate sessions
  • Monitor the safe use of all equipment and maintain the FR and Thermometer Register so all inventory can be traced and is available for use
  • Manage the labour resources, overtime requirements and all floor staff discipline issues
  • Ensure all procedures are followed and reports are executed

Criteria:

  • Experience supervising a complex warehouse or team with particular expertise in cold environments
  • Experience in warehousing including staff & processes compliance.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in production and logistics
  • Results oriented with experience managing KPIs and service level adherance
  • Knowledge of DC systems and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills with good conflict resolution skills
  • Self-motivated and shows initiative

About the team

The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.

The opportunity

Right now, we have TWO opportunities for Final Trim Grader Operators to join us in the Regional Maintenance teams in Orange and Bowenfels, part of our Central West District.

You’ll undertake a range of duties as part of a crew and independently, including:

  • Operate plant machinery to achieve predetermined tolerances, achieving high quality and smooth road output,
  • Responsibility for the completion of activities to quality specifications
  • Lead, monitor and control the operation of all other plant and staff in road operations being undertaken, particularly levelling and trimming processes.

About you

You are a well-seasoned Grader Operator looking for an opportunity to further develop and progress your career with a rewarding organisation. You must hold a valid driver license, White Card and extended experience operating a grader.

As a Final Trim operator, you will ideally have experience delivering high quality final trim grading and leading a crew.

Salary and Benefits

The wage for this position is $1,346.17 per week plus superannuation and allowances as per the Award.
