Based in Melbourne, they have recently added to their project list and they are now seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager within the HVAC industry to join their team.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 - 10 years' experience as a Project Manager within the HVAC / Air Conditioning industry 
  • Experience in managing projects from cradle to grave 
  • Experience in handling projects of any size
  • Experience in dealing with both Tier 1 and 2 building contractors
  • Wholesalers background preferred but not essential 
  • Ability to oversee numerous projects at any given time 
  • HVAC / Air Conditioning degree or qualification
  • Construction / Project Management degree preferred
  • Ability to perform well under pressure
  • Australian experience and full working rights are Essential
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Full Drivers License

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the delivery and construction of multiple exhibition and infrastructure projects
  • Support the Design Project Manager, construction team and management to execute delivery
  • Monitor performance to ensure on-time project delivery and quality control
  • Manage sub-contractors and trades on site during the construction phase
  • Provide technical skills and knowledge
  • Forecast, plan, and budget
  • Source quotes from multiple suppliers
  • Coordinate the administrative documents required for each project planning phase

Skills & Experience

  • Project management experience (preferably within the construction or exhibitions industry)
  • Experience managing trades on-site during the construction phase
  • Experience in project planning and cost estimating 
  • Proven understanding of working drawings and specifications
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to multi-task
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail 
  • Proactive approach, with the ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure

Job Overview:

The QA/QC Inspector is an integral part of the production process.

You will be the primary interface between customers and production staff to ensure customer needs are met.

It is a hands on role with visual inspections required as well as thorough record taking.

You will be someone who will have total control/ knowledge of customer requirements/specifications.

You will also be the main liaison with external inspectors.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Collaborating with sales/ production teams to understand requirements  for production
  • Receiving shipments of both customer and supplier deliveries and examining deliveries to ensure accurate quality, quantity and specifications.
  • Advise production manager of any issues that potentially impact production starting or continuing.
  • Keeping accurate and complete records in job folders which is essential to the quality system
  • Following established guidelines, instructions, policies and procedures, and maintaining current quality compliance

  • Full time position, training provided

Design & Build are working with an established builder who is now looking to fill an urgent requirement in their team with the addition of a Senior Project Manager. The business has been around for a number of years and works on projects up to $15m across a plethora of sectors. 

As the new addition to the team, you'll get full support from Ca's, Site Managers and a team of Construction Managers. The initial project portfolio will consist of a $2m, $5m $5m & $8m, all at varying build stages. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well recognised brand in the Vic market and for future guaranteed work in these unsure times.


To be eligible for this role you will need the following;
  • 5 + years of Project Management experience
  • Be comfortable to manage multiple projects
  • Construction-related tertiary qualification 
  • Strong communication, negotiation and leadership qualities 
  • The ability to lead a team, communicating effectively with people at every stage of the projects
  • A desire to take on a permanent position where you will become an integral team member
