We need you to ensure that we continue to deliver exceptional Customer Service to our clients.

To be considered for the role you need to have:

Technical Qualifications

  • Current Queensland Government Restricted Electrical Work License
  • Ability to meet the requirements to obtain OLGR Repairers Licence
  • A minimum of 12 months experience in quality repair and maintenance of Gaming Machines and associated peripherals
  • Intermediate IT skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills combined with good presentation
  • A current driving license issued within Australia

The position requires the successful candidate to work on a roster system comprising of Day Shift, Late Shift, Week Ends when required and Stand By.

The position will be based in the Brisbane region operating out of our Eagle Farm office but may be required to work in other regions from time to time.

Standard package of Base Salary, Super, Company Car, Phone, and relevant allowances per the Odyssey Gaming Services Ltd Technician Enterprise Agreement.

Join us as our Service Technician and you will be able to utilize your technical expertise in turbocharging in our Industrial Automation Business Area in Eagle Farm, Queensland. Reporting to Service Manager, your hands-on experience and knowledge of customer needs will help you not only to build strong customer relationships, but to also identify new business opportunities.

Your responsibilities:

  • Delivering outstanding and professional service, remotely or on-site, in key categories, e.g. installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades and retrofits, end-of-life services and replacements.
  • Coordinating the control/preparation of all materials, equipment and documentation needed for site activities and organizing them in accordance with contractual and supplemental documentation.
  • Conducting inventories and inspections to determine necessary maintenance and repairs. Troubleshooting and repairing equipment and recommending changes such as new equipment or modified procedures to improve the performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Providing technical support and training to a wide range of ABB customers and staff.
  • Identifying and developing potential sales and business opportunities based on knowledge of customers and collaboration across ABB.
  • Suggesting product and process improvements within the business to enhance operations and customer service.
  • Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background:

  • Relevant trade qualification in mechanical fitting or similar.
  • Current holder of forklift license.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in marine or heavy diesel engine.
  • Ideally has experience in both maintenance and project in marine/ heavy diesel sectors.
  • Sound knowledge in troubleshooting and repairing critical rotating equipment.
  • Must possess knowledge in workshop repairs and service according to OEM procedures and manuals.
  • Experience with SAP/ CRM applications, Apple applications and MS Office Suite.
  • Good level of fitness is required to fulfil the physical requirements of this role e.g working at heights
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.

Vanderfield is seeking an experienced and professional Service Technician to join our team in Biloela. This individual will operate a mobile service vehicle and travel to customer locations to perform in-field, machinery diagnostics and repairs as required.
