Responsibilities: 

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex problems on wind turbines.
  • Perform all mechanical and electrical component maintenance.  Repair and replace components as required.
  • Complete required paperwork.
  • Exhibit positive, courteous behaviour with customers, businesses, and co-workers.
  • Use all mandatory safety equipment and comply with all safety requirements in accordance with company and government regulations and guidelines.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
  • Travel in accordance with works schedule.

Qualifications: - Electrical

  • 2-3 years experience working in an electrical trade environment, preferably working with WTGs. 
  • Electrical trade
  • Experience in an Industrial Electrical environment preferred
  • High Voltage Operator training and experience considered an advantage
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Flexibility in working hours (on call roster)
  • Positive attitude and approach to day to day duties
  • Demonstrated initiative to increase efficiency in operations
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Driver's licence required
  • A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment

A position exists for a Service Technician to operate out of our Holden Hill Branch in South Australia 

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the role includes: Diagnosing faults, servicing and performing maintenance of relevant products for our account and retail customer base.

Whilst not essential, previous experience in the building industry, installation of relevant products and experience in customer service will be highly regarded.

This role comes with a fully maintained company vehicle, phone and relevant tools of trade.

The suitable candidate will be provided with product specific training.

Due to our continued success and growth we are expanding our existing Field Service Team and National footprint.  We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Field Service Technician, to join our team and be based in our Adelaide branch in Cavan.

The Role:

This role will require a high level of autonomy, with the Field Service Mechanic role involving the following core duties and functions:

  • Carrying out repairs and service work on a variety of forklifts and telehandlers within the WFL fleet and customer owned equipment across metropolitan and possibly regional areas
  • Hybrid role involving workshop-based repairs and servicing; and a mixture of scheduled and responsive repairs and servicing
  • Representing WFL in a professional and positive manner delivering excellent service
  • Working independently onsite and in coordination with our Service Team as required
  • Additional project work and tasks as required and directed

The Right Person for the Role:
The successful candidate must be an individual who is experienced and skilled in servicing and mechanical repair, embraces challenges and responsibility with enthusiasm and energy. You enjoy a challenge, pride yourself on your professional approach and possess a positive attitude.

Specifically you display the following:

  • Recent and relevant trade experience as a mechanic, or field mechanic – forklift, machinery or construction equipment repair experience would be highly desired
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • An ability to complete required paperwork with accuracy
  • Thoroughness in performing assigned tasks
  • Basic knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • An ability to show initiative and problem solve efficiently would be highly regarded
  • Willingness to be an integral part of the team and work autonomously, demonstrating leadership capability when required
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm

We require 5 x Casual Technicians and a Storeperson to assist with delivery of a short term project to our gaming customers. To be best suited for a Technician role you need to be driven to expand your knowledge as well as being comfortable with getting down to the nitty-gritty in swapping circuit boards and loading software. For this, it is essential that you have an interest in technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Installing and certifying electronic and electro-mechanical equipment on site including:

  • Gaming Machines
  • PCs and Peripherals
  • Networking Systems
  • Point of Sale (POS) & Retail equipment

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Demonstrated experience working on AV projects.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environments whilst not compromising quality of work and paying close attention to detail.
  • Ability to take and follow instructions and work in small teams on large scale jobs.
  • No issues with working at heights and with tools.
  • Experience with AV equipment installation such as projectors, motorized screens, LCD’s and speakers.
  • Ability to work with all types of AV technology including, but not limited to, video conferencing equipment, video walls, routers and switching, rack building and running and termination of cables.
  • Experience working with and understanding electrical plans and drawings.
  • Trouble shooting and fault diagnosis.
  • Ability to ‘Think outside the box’ in order to problem solve any challenges.
  • A positive and motivated attitude!

Licences & Qualifications:

  • Construction Safety Training Card (White Card)
  • Current South Australian Drivers Licence
  • High Risk Work Licence – EWP (Ideal but not essential)

Hours of Work: 

  • Monday to Friday, hours TBA

Most work sites are generally located in and around the Adelaide Metropolitan area. Some remote regional work may be required. 

NOTE: It is important that the candidate has their own hand tools and suitable vehicle.
