Become part of our already busy team of qualified Tradesmen who are all fully supported by our friendly Sales & Administration team.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and self motivated person to join our fast growing company.

Our new team member would ideally be a door technician who would have a good understanding of various types of doors related to the industry.  We are a 24/7 Emergency repair company so the ideal candidate would be willing to work outside of normal hours when necessary.

We are seeking the following skills/traits:

  • Manual Drivers Licence
  • Ability to work out side of normal hours when necessary
  • Proactive, cooperative and willing to assist in other areas
  • Electrical qualifications or restricted qualifications with knowledge on auto doors and gates would be advantageous but not necessary.

Company phone included.  Wages and vehicle negotiable.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a resourceful Radio & Mobile Equipment Installer to work within a small busy team.  You will be mostly working within the Metro area but may be travelling to country areas on occasions.  This role will suit an individual who can work both as part of a team and independently and is able to respond to changing priorities.

The successful candidate will be able to complete on-site installations, liaise directly with customers as required, and will be well presented with a professional attitude.

The Position will involve:

  • Installing & uninstallng communications equipment in light & heavy vehicles
  • Liaising with customers on operation & location of equipment
  • Completing job work sheets
  • Local & on-site installations

Essential Requirements:

Experience with installations of two-way radios, hands free kits, satellite phones, tracking equipment into trucks, LV’s & mobile plant & equipment.

  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • High standard of written & verbal communication
  • Valid drivers licence
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 

Preferred requirement?

  • Demonstrated experience installing commercial two-way radio equipment into vehicles, GPS tracking and mobile data equipment
  • Working at heights would be an advantage

This role would suit a results driven installer who is able to work autonomously, has a genuine desire to succeed and willing to provide excellent customer service.  You will have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal and work effectively to meet ongoing deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe working practices at all times
  • Work within company OHS&E requirements
  • Carry out instructions and work unsupervised
  • Work diligently to finish tasks within specified time frames
  • Examine detailed requests or specifications to carry out jobs, material and equipment requirements
  • Read and follow electrical schematics for diagnosing purpose
  • Read and follow hydraulic schematics for diagnosing purpose
  • Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, and their repairs or sub-assemblies
  • Carry out hydraulic diagnosis, repair including the resealing of cylinders, pumps, motors, valves and replacements of components

  • Trade certificate (or verification/demonstration of competency and other qualifications)
