Australian Plastic Profiles and Pipe King Pty Ltd are currently looking for a well-organized and motivated individual to take up the position of Store Person within our SA branch in the Northern suburbs of Adelaide.

Duties of this role include; but are not limited to:-

  • Loading and unloading of all incoming and outgoing goods in/out of the store.
  • Picking and packing all daily orders
  • Ensure regulatory and legislative compliance for all aspects of goods travelling to various sites in the local, regional and interstate areas.
  • Quality assurance and accuracy of receipting and dispatching.
  • Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behavior.
  • Regular cyclical stock takes.
  • Working with stores team to achieve daily branch requirements
  • Some heavy lift involved

To be successful for the role you must have:

  • Excellent work ethic.
  • Previous experience in a warehousing role.
  • Knowledge of the practical management of Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S).
  • A current valid driver's license and forklift license.
  • 12 months minimum forklift experience
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Applicants must be punctual, reliable, self motivated, well organised and able to work unsupervised.
  • As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes drug and alcohol testing.

Burnie Timber supplies timber panel products to the cabinetmaking and joinery industry mainly in the greater Adelaide area. We are a family owned business with a loyal client base, and have been operating successfully since 1991. Our Warehouse is located in Alberton SA.

We are looking to fill the ASSISTANT position within our Warehouse team.

Applicants should only apply if:

  • They are self motivated and energetic
  • They are trustworthy and reliable
  • They take ownership of their role
  • Have a current forklift license, and forklift operating experience
  • They have excellent organizational skills
  • They have some experience or knowledge of timber panel products including MDF, Particleboard, Plywood and Melamine Panels

If this sounds like you, and you would like to be part of our team, the role would consist of the following tasks:

  • Picking and packing panel orders for shipping
  • Loading and unloading of trucks using a forklift
  • Maintaining a neat, well laid out warehouse
  • Stacking away various products into racking where required
  • General store duties
  • Some computer operation may be required 

The job requires that the person is strong and healthy, as the work is quite manual and can be demanding during busy times. Final shortlisted Applicants will be required to undertake a Medical Assessment prior to gaining employment.

We would like to see applicants who present and communicate well, are intelligent self motivated thinkers, who may have some prior experience in this type of role. Good time management skills would be a benefit.

Our warehouse hours of operation are 7.30am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday.
