We have an opportunity for 2 full-time Grounds Worker with previous grounds and gardens experience to be part of our team based at our Hallam and Clyde Depot.

You will be responsible for:

• General grounds and gardens maintenance
• Operation of mowers, brush cutters, edgers, and hedgers
• Other activities including pruning, weeding, watering, planting, mulching, and chemical application

Essential requirements for the position include the following:

• Previous grounds and open space experience in a commercial environment
• Certificate II or III in Horticulture (Parks & Gardens) preferred, not essential
• Manual Driver's Licence
• Familiar with the use of sending information via mobile device
• Excellent presentation
• Willing to take and follow instructions
• A self-starter with the ability to work within a small team
• A customer service focus and strong interpersonal skills
• Strong safety, environment, and quality focus

The successful candidate will take pride in their work, and have the ability to follow instructions. You will have an excellent work ethic and be highly motivated.

About the business and the role

Eastlake Golf Club in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs is a busy Member/Public access Golf Club, boasting over 60,000 golf rounds in the last 12 months. 10 minutes from Sydney Airport and Sydney CBD we are looking for a 3rd in Charge/ Senior Greenkeeper to join the team to help maintain the Golf Course and Surrounds. Work hours are 5:30am-2:30pm Mon,Tue,Thu and Friday, Wednesday is 5:00am-9am. 

Job tasks and responsibilities

Duties will include but not limited to , Staff management and Job allocations alongside the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, day to day set up of the Golf course for its members and guests, machinery operation, mowing of turf surfaces to a high presentation and standard. 

Skills and experience

Certificate III in  Horticulture Turf Management is required

(4th year apprentices completing their certificate and looking to progress in the industry are also encouraged to apply)
