Your new role

The Longford branch of TTMI has an exciting opportunity available for a qualified, motivated, hands-on individual to join the team as a Service Technician. TTMI workshops are well equipped, with a focus on continual learning and investment in tooling and equipment.

The Service Technician, through the provision of hands-on service work, will ensure the delivery of diagnostic and repair services, equipment upgrades, fabrication, machinery delivery, mechanical advice and excellent customer service in dealing with all enquiries and assigned work orders.

Key duties of the role

• Handle customer enquiries tactfully, promptly and with genuine concern.

• Perform a range of tasks including service, repair, test and maintenance of machinery.

• Inspect machinery or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems.

• Complete repair orders in line with customer and workshop requirements.

• All reasonable steps are to be taken to protect one’s own and other’s health and safety.

• Ability to work in a team in the workshop or on your own in the field.

• Current drivers’ licence.

Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years' trade experience in a similar role
• Current Road Worthiness Certificate
• Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology
• Experience in a range of systems including modern diesel engines        
• Excellent diagnostic, communication and problem-solving skills
• A positive attitude and a proactive nature
• The ability to work both unsupervised and in a team environment
• A current manual driver's license

Key Responsibilities 

The successful candidate will work closely with our current diesel mechanic the successful candidate will manage and undertake the servicing and repairs our light vehicle fleet along with undertaking Small plant repairs and preventative maintenance. Assisting with heavy plant servicing, repairs and ongoing maintenance.

The Successful Candidate will:

• Current Drivers/ HR License
• Reliable and Self Motivated
• Professional Attitude and Attention to Detail
• Relevant Trade Qualification 
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Ability to work unsupervised

This Position will be based at our Kingston Depot.
